Cookie Policy

We use a small number of cookies. The ones that keep you signed in run whatever you choose; the ones that measure usage run only if you say yes.

There is no advertising here, no tracking pixel, and no third-party identifier following you elsewhere.

The three categories

Strictly necessary

These run whatever you choose, because without them the service does not work. They keep you signed in, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, remember which cookie choice you made, and support rate limiting that keeps the service available.

  • Session cookie — keeps you signed in. Expires when you sign out, or after 30 days.
  • Security token — protects form submissions. Expires with the session.
  • Consent record — remembers the choice you made here. Stored for 12 months.

Analytics — only if you accept

These tell us which parts of the planner people use and where they give up. They are aggregated, they do not build a profile of you, and they are not shared with advertisers. If you reject them they do not load at all — not in a disabled state, not loaded.

  • Usage measurement — which pages and planner steps were reached. Stored for 12 months.

Advertising — none

We run no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no cross-site identifiers. There is no third-party advertising on this service and no category here to opt out of.

Making your choice

Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting. Same row, same size button, same weight, one click either way. Neither is styled to look like the answer we want.

Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies runs until you have made a choice. If you close the banner without choosing, nothing optional runs and you will be asked again next time.

You can change your mind whenever you like, and changing it takes effect immediately.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a rejection of optional cookies and we do not show you the banner at all. You do not have to click anything for it to be honoured.

That signal also serves as an opt-out of sale or sharing of personal information for the purposes of California law. We do not sell or share personal information in any case.

Third parties

  • Our hosting and content delivery provider may set a strictly necessary cookie for load balancing and abuse protection.
  • Our payment provider sets its own cookies on its own pages when you are entering card details. Those are governed by that provider's policy, which is linked at the point where you reach it.
  • If you accept analytics, our analytics provider sets the usage measurement cookie described above.

We do not embed social media widgets, comment systems, advertising tags, or anything else that would set a cookie on our pages without being listed here.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, either for all sites or for this one. The controls are usually under Privacy or Site Settings.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you being able to sign in. Blocking optional ones changes nothing about how the service works for you.

Clearing cookies also clears the record of your choice, so you will be asked again.

Changes

If we add a cookie, it is listed here before it is set, and if it is not strictly necessary you will be asked again.

Your current choice

Re-open the banner and choose again. Rejecting and accepting are the same single click.
