Content Licence

You keep everything you upload. We need a narrow licence to store it, process it and show it back to you — and that is all this document grants.

It also sets out what you are confirming when you upload a photograph of a room, which matters more here than on most services, because the photograph is of somewhere someone lives.

You keep ownership

You own the photographs, measurements and text you upload. Uploading them to Wallplan does not transfer any ownership to us, and nothing in this document takes a share of it.

We claim no rights in your wall, your room, your artwork or your photographs beyond the limited processing licence below, and that licence exists only so the software can do the job you asked it to do.

The licence you grant us

To run the service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable-only-to-our-processors licence to:

  • Store your uploads on our infrastructure.
  • Strip location metadata from them, resize them, and convert their format.
  • Send them to our AI processing provider to detect wall edges and obstacles, and to render arrangement images.
  • Display them back to you inside your account.
  • Include them in encrypted backups.

That is the whole list. The licence is granted for the sole purpose of providing the service to you, and it is not a licence to publish, market with, sell, or train on your content.

It ends when the content is deleted, subject only to the time it takes for deletion to propagate through backups.

Not used for training

Photographs of your home are not used to train models. Not ours, not a third party's. Our AI processing provider is contractually prohibited from using your content for training or model improvement.

We do use fully anonymous, aggregated behavioural signals to improve the layout engine — for instance, how often a generated arrangement is adjusted before it is accepted. Those signals contain no image data and cannot be traced back to an account or a property.

How long we hold it

  • Uploaded photographs and generated arrangement images: 30 days from upload, then deleted. The window exists so you can come back to a wall you had not finished.
  • Saved plans, measurements and drill points: for as long as your account is open. They are small text records, and they are what lets you reopen a plan a year later.
  • Backups: deletions propagate within 30 days.

You can delete a wall and everything attached to it at any time from inside your account. That is immediate in the application.

What you get out

Arrangement pictures and drill plans generated from your inputs are yours. You may print them, export them, share them, and use them commercially — for example, if you plan walls for other people as part of your work.

We do not watermark paid output, do not require attribution, and do not claim ownership of it.

On the Free plan, drill plans carry a watermark across the measurements. That watermark is a limit on the free plan, not a claim of ownership, and it never covers the safety notice at the foot of the sheet.

Two things are ours regardless of plan: the layout engine that calculates the figures, and the drawing system that renders them. You may use their output freely; you may not extract, copy or reimplement them.

What you promise about what you upload

By uploading, you confirm that:

  • You occupy the property in the photograph, or you have permission from the person who does.
  • No identifiable person appears in it.
  • You hold the rights necessary for any artwork visible in it, or its inclusion is incidental to photographing a wall you are entitled to photograph.
  • The content does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.
  • The content does not breach the Acceptable Use Policy.

If you cannot confirm all of these for a particular file, do not upload it.

Removal

We may remove content that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy, that we are legally required to remove, or that is the subject of a rights complaint we consider well founded.

Where we can, we will tell you what was removed and why. Where the removal concerns child safety or an unlawful act, we act without notice.

If you believe content on Wallplan infringes your rights, write to us with enough detail to identify the material and the basis of your claim. If you believe your content was removed in error, write to us and a person will look at it again.

Both go to support@styleyourspacesedinburgh.com.

Feedback

If you send us a suggestion about the product, we may act on it without owing you anything and without restriction. That is not a claim over anything you have created — it applies only to ideas you volunteer about how the tool should work.

You are welcome to tell us nothing, and the service works the same either way.
